SRAM doesnt rest. Thats why they this version of their Eagle Direct Mount Chainring came to be. The previous version wasnt good enough.
SRAM rides with their gear in addition to supplying components to professionals. They saw that the wear could be reduced and the performance increased. By performance, they wanted better retention, better engagement, greater stiffness to improve drivetrain efficiency, less friction on engagement, and, yes, less noise.
The result is this ring made from forged and machined aluminum. Specifically, the big feature is X-Sync 2. This is the longer, more aggressive looking, positive rake narrow-wide tooth pattern you can see. Its designed to work in harmony with their Eagle chain and Eagle and SRAM eleven-speed drivetrains.
The Eagle Direct Mount Chainring mounts only on SRAM direct mount cranks. There is both standard 49mm chain line and 52mm Boost chainline. Ring sizes are 30, 32, 34, 36, and 38 teeth.
