The GX Eagle chain is designed with SRAM’s Eagle geometry, the GX Eagle chain features solid pin construction, Eagle PowerLock and smooth, efficient shifting that you can count on every time out. Unique features and design also provide significantly improved wear resistance on Eagle cassettes and rings and the all-new Eagle PowerLock chain connector with FLOW LINK technology provides better chain guiding and increased longevity.
SRAM’s Chain Tech
PowerLock
SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool-free, easy, and consistent way to connect their chains. While PowerLock does not require special tools for installation, the especially tight tolerances of 10- and 11-speed drivetrains result in the PowerLock being good for one application only.
Eagle
Eagle Technology represent SRAM’s newest 1x drivetrain tech. Eagle is a lighter, simpler, more durable, and easier-to-use drivetrain. Featuring all-new 1x components, engineered for even greater durability and performance while maintaining a significant weight advantage over other drivetrain solutions. SRAM’s Eagle lineup also provides an expanded gear range of 520%, which is equal to 2×11 drivetrains.
FlowLink
Ultra-smooth inner plates are completely devoid of square edges, resulting in a chain that engages the cassette and chainring with far less friction, giving you quieter performance and better wear life. The design allows a narrower profile that can withstand greater angles and also allows for a flatter outer plate, meaning more consistent chain riveting and enhanced overall strength.
